Mary A. Jacoby

Age 79 of Oakdale MN, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, August 22nd, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband James. She is survived by her children Sue, and Tom (Leanne); brother Johnny; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Born in Eveleth, MN on May 2nd, 1946, she grew up on the Iron Range. She was a hard worker all her life and a caregiver by nature. She loved to bake and always had homemade cookies on hand. Mary's ultimate grill cheese was a staple and a fan-favorite for the crew in the garage on weekends. She was a wonderful seamstress and between Tom & Jim, never had a shortage of things to sew. Her home was a great source of pride for her. She was diligent and dedicated in keeping it clean and well organized.

She loved her "grand pups" and enjoyed spending time with them. Trips to the cabin were special for her. She could spend time with her family and the dogs, laughing and relaxing, while watching the hummingbirds.

Holidays were also special. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family, cooking a huge meal, getting Christmas cards from friends, and decorating the house.

She was known for being giving and generous. She was a faithful follower of God and devoted parishioner at Transfiguration Church in Oakdale, MN.

Above all, she loved her family. Jim, her husband of 42 years, was the center of her world and the love of her life. The greatest comfort in her death is knowing that they are together once again.

A visitation will be held at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, on Wednesday, September 3rd from 4-7pm. A memorial service will take place the following day, Thursday, September 4th, at 11am with an additional visitation beginning at 10am.
