Mary Ann Worms, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at the age of 75.
Born on May 11, 1951, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Mary Ann was a gentle and caring soul who always showed up for the people she loved. Whether listening, laughing with her beautiful smile, or sharing tears, she made those around her feel loved and supported.
Mary Ann was a devoted wife to her husband, Mike, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Their love, family, and faith were at the heart of their life together. Both left this world far too soon, but there is comfort in knowing they are now reunited in heaven, together again.
Mary Ann was also a dedicated mother who shared a deep love for her four children. A visit home for her children always meant leaving with a car full of groceries, lovingly packed in one of her many pieces of Tupperware. She expressed that same unwavering devotion to her nine grandchildren. She treasured her role as a grandmother welcoming them into her home for sleepovers, babysitting, playing games, and creating the kind of everyday memories they would carry with them forever. Caring for her family was simply how Mary Ann expressed her love.
Mary Ann had a special place in her heart for Minnesota sports. She loved all Minnesota teams and could recite the most obscure sports facts, which always turned out to be correct. There was usually a game on the television in the background at home. She also rarely missed one of her children's sports games, even when it seemed nearly impossible to attend. Having loved being a cheerleader in high school, Mary Ann carried that spirit throughout her life, becoming the biggest cheerleader for her children and grandchildren from the sidelines.
Faith was a central and meaningful part of Mary Ann's life. She often kept a rosary close by, tucked in her pocket or carried with her on walks, a quiet reminder of the faith that was always with her. She treasured her years at Saint Bernard's, where she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. Her faith was not simply something she believed; it was something she lived and passed on through her example.
Mary Ann loved playing cards and was always ready for a game of cribbage, where good conversation and a little friendly competition went hand in hand. She enjoyed reading, tending to her garden and flowers, and taking in peaceful sunsets at the cabin or in Florida. These simple pleasures reflected what she valued most-time together with the people she loved.
Mary Ann always found it hard to say goodbye, perhaps because she loved so deeply and held so tightly to the people and moments that mattered most. While we now have to say goodbye to her, the love she gave so freely will remain with us-in the stories we tell, the traditions we carry on, the games we watch, the gardens we tend, the sunsets we admire, and, most of all, in the family she loved so dearly.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Mary Ann is survived by her children, Daniel (Jessica) Worms, James (Lauren) Worms, Jeanine (Mark) Edstrom, and David (Kelly) Worms; her grandchildren, Megan and Ryan Worms, Walter and Oliver Worms, Graham, Finn, and Ethan Edstrom, and Kinsley and Landon Worms; her brothers, Bruce, Duane, and Mark Perrizo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Worms; her parents, Raymond and Irene Perrizo; and her brothers, Bryan and Thomas Perrizo.
A visitation will be held on August 31, 2026 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Bradshaw, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear, MN.
