Born Emma Christine Steele on February 12, 1999, in Maplewood, Minnesota, she lived a life marked by strength, independence, courage, and deep compassion.
As a child, Emma grew up in Lake Elmo and Stillwater, Minnesota. She was full of laughter, love and endless compassion. Dad nicknamed her Petunia Pot, or Double P for short – she was Dad's beautiful flower. Mom called her Emma Dolly. She loved her cat Doodles and dog Mickey, enjoyed reading, crafts, collecting things (especially small things), climbing trees, fishing, and swimming. She loved spending time with her siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Emma was aspiring to graduate college and travel.
After high school, Emma pursued a degree at the University of Minnesota – Rochester campus. She was exceptionally bright, strong, independent, and most of all, caring.
In 2022, Emma changed her name to Mason Robinson. Mason was studying Health Sciences with a 4.0 GPA and the intent to pursue graduate studies in bioinformatics. They were most recently on a study abroad/internship program in Australia. Mason's academic journey reflected not only determination and intellectual brilliance, but also a profound desire to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of others.
