Tharp, Max R. age 81.
Born in Louisville, KY, May 23, 1926. Enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 18. Max served over 3 years active duty during WW II; was honorably discharged with a WW II Victory Medal. He was a member of Giant Valley American Legion Post 234; resided in S. Mpls. most of his adult life. Preceded in death by daughter, Karen and 9 siblings. Max is survived by his lifelong close friend and mother of his children, LaVerne; children, Debbie, Terri and Pam; grandchildren, Michael, Shauna, Michelle, Brenda, Jennifer, Janell and Jessica; 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation Wednesday, 11:15a.m. - 1:15 p.m. at Bradshaw (McDivitt-Hauge) 3131 Minnehaha Avenue followed by a graveside service 1:45 a.m. at Fort Snelling.
