Maya Emmanuilovna Ponomarenko, age 86, passed away on December 9, 2020 at Abbot Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Maya is survived by her daughters Inna (Damon Fraser) and Lena, and three grandchildren: Daniel, Evan and Sasha. Preceded in death by her husband, Slava, her parents, Emmanuil and Esther, and her beloved cousin, Lidiya.
A loving, nurturing wife, mother and grandmother, Maya was also a dedicated teacher and an avid cook and baker. Her love, light and warmth made this world a better place and will stay with us forever!
The graveside service on Wednesday, December 16th, at 1 pm at the Oak Hill Cemetery, 5951 Lyndale Avenue S, Minneapolis, MN 55419.
