Mee Yang, 42 years young when she had passed on unexpectedly on August 10, 2026 in Saint Paul.
The world hadn't known it yet, but the world was blessed the day she was born on the day of December 26th, 1983 to Nou Vang, her mother. She had emigrated from Ban Vinai (refugee camp) to Saint Paul with her mother, her brother Kou Vang, and her sister, Mai Kai Vang where Mee would spend the majority of her life. She attended St Paul Central H.S. and ultimately earned her GED. Mee worked in medical assembly for most of her working career.
Mee was a strong woman, and people say that about just anyone. Sometimes they can mean it; sometimes they can't and with Mee we mean it, more than anything. She fought, feisty till the very end, even if she was afraid and worried about how we would look after one another as both family and friends. Mee might've said things, made promises she didn't keep, yearned for places that may never see her face but I know that somewhere beyond where we can't see; she's doing it. Everything. From showing her daughters that "tough love" her heart was too soft to enforce; up to visiting the sea with us, because that's the kind of fierce light she has.
Mee looked after everyone, complained of course, and now we look after one another so she won't worry and call us idiots while looking us dead in the eye from a warm and blanket filled place.
Her liveliness is carried on by her son, Junior, and her two daughters, Geneva and Elizabeth; Her partner Alton M Haraldson Jr; Siblings and their children; Kou Vang, (sons); Followed by Mai Kai with her three sons, Richard, Kenneth, and Noah and daughter, Paisley; Mee's half-siblings, Kong, Choua(Vong) with their family; Nikolai, Minah, Arina, Lucian. Her brother, Jackie, Maiong(Homing) and her son, Lunar; Shannon, Mee's brother. Stepfather Mike Song Young; and family.
Preceded in death by her mother, Nou, and brother, Kou.
