Merritt Nels Heaney was born October 3rd, 1944 to Earl and Minnette Heaney. He passed away Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice Care after battling cancer.
Preceded in death by parents, Earl and Minnette; sisters, Ruth, Loreda, Bessie, and Versea; and brothers, Monroe and Michael.
Survived by son, Robert; former wife, LaVonne Lundstrom; and sisters, Jackie, Jeri, Vida and Kathy.
Merritt was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church serving on committees and sharing his gift of music.
We will carry his memory in our hearts.
Memorial service Saturday, June 8, 2024, 10:00 A.M. at St Paul Lutheran Church, 609 South 5th Street with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Fairview Cemetery.
