Michael Steele

Michael Steele, 71, passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2025. He was born on September 9, 1953, in Stillwater, Minnesota.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Carol (Taylor), and their children: Jennifer Notto (Nick), Daniel Steele (Kelly), and Mary Kiner (Jim). He was also a cherished grandparent to Dominic, Walter, George, and Grace. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Mary (Connor) and James Steele, as well as his brother, David Steele.

Mike loved animals of every type from lizards to turtles to feathered friends. He enjoyed deer hunting and being in nature. As a father to his three children, he was always willing to go “overboard” helping with school projects and never missed a holiday or celebration. Mike always gave thoughtful gifts. As a husband to his wife of 46 years, he never wavered from his love for her.

A visitation will be held on March 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, located at 611 3rd St S in Stillwater, Minnesota. A Funeral Mass will follow at the same location at 11:00 AM. 

Michael’s kindness and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those he’s left behind.
