Mona Findell

Passed away peacefully on June 9, 2017 surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by sisters, Dolores, Jane, Audrey, Norma, Margaret, Annette and Marlys and son, Randall Gene. Survived by loving husband of 68 years, Eugene; daughters, Lily and Juliann; son, Russell; granddaughter, Kelly(Todd); grandsons, Erik, Ryan, Anthony, Thomas, and Timothy; great grandchildren, Sayer, Sonya, Sterling and Sheridan; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Mona was an artistic, creative person who was known for her extensive hat collection which she proudly wore at every opportunity. She enjoyed traveling with her husband over the years, and had many stories about their adventures that she could narrate to family and friends without provocation.

Mona always welcomed everyone into her home and loved to feed them. She was known for her hot dishes. She made everything from rigatoni to tater tot hot dish, and could only prepare them in quantities large enough to feed an army! There were always people coming and going and eventually her kitchen got the nickname Grand Central Station.

Mona had great love for her family. Often you would find that her grandchildren or great-grandchildren were either in Mona day care or staying with Mona and Gene over periods of time. She enjoyed being a part of all of their lives.
