Myrlene Legros

d. December 14, 2022

Myrlene B. LeGros (Beesley)

Age 90 of Edina & Stillwater.  During the holiday season she loved so much, our mom went to heaven to be reunited with her beloved husband, Jim; her parents, Jack & Myrtle; and brother, Roger.

She will be missed by her girls, Michelle & Stephanie, sons-in-law Jay & Dan and cherished grandchildren Claire & Henry Stracke and James & Jack Kalmon.

Myrlene was born in St. Paul, grew up in White Bear Lake and graduated from the University of Minnesota.  After living in Kansas City & Milwaukee during the early years of their marriage, Jim & Myrlene returned to Minnesota and settled in Edina to raise their family.  Myrlene supported Jim in his Food Brokerage business and was the perfect hostess and travel companion.

Mom was most proud of her life’s work as a homemaker, mom & grandma.  She loved planning family holidays & birthdays full of tradition, hosting dinner parties at their Arizona winter home and spending time on the family houseboat ‘Stefie Chelle’ on the St. Croix River.  Mom’s life revolved around her girls and her grandchildren – never missing a school concert, sporting event or opportunity to host a family dinner.

A family celebration of Myrlene’s life will be held at a later date.

If you would like, consider a memorial to Cathedral of the Pines Camp at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church or the Lakeview Health Foundation, Stillwater, MN.

When we think of mom, we think of a verse from one of her favorite songs…

It’s the sweetest thing I know of, just spending time with you.

It’s the little things that make a house a home.

It’s good to be back home again.
