Nancy Cecile Cosgriff
February 8, 1938-November 2, 2022, of Marine on St. Croix, passed away on November 2, 2022 with her sisters, Elsie Armstrong and Jeanne Folstrom by her side.
Nancy was born and raised in Olivia, Minnesota. She was the youngest of seven children.
After a year at the College of St. Catherine, Nancy entered the order of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet and was a member of that community until 1979.
Nancy received a BA from the College of St. Catherine in 1961, a MA in American Literature from the University of Notre Dame in 1970, and a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Studies from Wisdom University in 2007.
Nancy had a distinguished career as a high school English and Music teacher. Among other career accomplishments, she was also an Executive Vice President for Wells Fargo from 1986-1995. She continued her business career consulting as the principal for the Cosgriff Group.
Nancy is survived by sisters, Elsie Armstrong and Jeanne Folstrom, with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many dear friends whose love for her will continue. Preceded in death by her parents, Elsie (Forster) Cosgriff and Dr. James A. Cosgriff, Sr.; brothers, John Cosgriff and Dr. James A. Cosgriff, Jr.; and sisters, Mary King and Pat Sandstad.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Oakland Cemetery, Marine on St. Croix.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.
