Nancy Kay (Newman) Hof

Nancy was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on April 17, 1938, to Eleanor and Clifford Newman. She died comfortably September 19, 2024, in Stillwater, MN. 

Nancy is survived by her husband of 67 years, George Hof; son, Michael (Vicki) Hof; granddaughters, Kara (Nate) Olson, Sarah Hof and Meghan Hof; great grandchildren, Eliza, Anja and Ames Olson. 

Education was a passion, and she graduated from the University of Iowa with a BS degree in political science and education and from the College of St. Thomas with a master’s degree in education. She attended numerous education programs in Europe and Asia. 

Nancy was the Coordinator for special needs children at both the Stillwater School District and the Minnesota Department of Education. Books, especially children’s literature, were a lifetime passion and she collected many hundreds of these books over the years. 

Nancy loved gatherings of family and friends and was the organizer for many of these events on holidays and throughout the year.

Arrangements for a family memorial gathering are in process and there are no plans for a funeral service.
