Nancy Jean Fjestad

Age 55 of Stillwater, Minnesota, passed away on July 11, 2025.

Nancy was born on December 5, 1969 in West Bend, Wisconsin, to Neal Thomas Fosshage and Audrey Louise Fosshage. She was the youngest of four children. Nancy graduated from Bloomington Jefferson High School in 1988 and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1992.

She started her career as an accountant, and after the birth of her daughter Emily, she devoted herself to motherhood while continuing part-time accounting work. Nancy's true passion was raising her children and serving her community. She volunteered nearly every day at Stonebridge Elementary School while Emily and Matthew were students there, and had many roles within Our Saviors Lutheran Church over the last 20-plus years.

In 1999, Nancy married Mark in Bloomington, Minnesota. They settled in Stillwater, where they raised their two children, Emily and Matthew. Nancy especially enjoyed summers at the family cabin on Big Round Lake in Wisconsin, hosting friends and family. She was also an avid quilter, one of many skills she lovingly passed down to Emily. She was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones (and when she checked things off of her lists).

Nancy's other joys included annual fall trips to the Northwoods, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers, especially staying for the 5th Quarter, attending Billy Joel concerts, and taking family vacations. Her favorite trip was a Disney Cruise shared with her entire extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Audrey and Neal. She is survived by her husband, Mark; her children, Emily and Matthew; her siblings, Jim, Sue, and Bill; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Bradshaw Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will take place the following day at 11:00 AM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, with a luncheon to follow.
