Passed Away: February 26, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nick Warrior Wadena, age 46, of Minneapolis, MN, who left us unexpectedly on February 26, 2025. Born August 23, 1978, in Minneapolis, Nick was the beloved son of Nick Boswell (White Earth) and Carol Adams (Menominee). He was reunited in the spirit world with his parents, his nephew Orlando Estes, and his brother LaVern Boswell.

Nick's warmth, humor, and charisma touched the lives of everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by his fiancé, Leah Schoenecker; his daughters, Sophie Montana (Molly) and Augusta Wadena (Leah); his paternal sisters, Liz Anderson and "Baby Sister" Nicole Wadena; his maternal siblings, Stefanie Adams, Corey Weaver, Clint White, and Adam White; his lifelong friends, Dany Bek and Jim Kerben; as well as a wide circle of friends and loved ones.

Above all else, Nick's devotion and love for his two girls and his love for Leah were the driving forces in his life. He cherished every moment spent with them and took immense pride in being a loving father and partner. His infectious sense of humor, deep belly laugh, intelligence, and kindness made him a joy to be around, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Nick dedicated his life to improving the quality of life for Native American communities. He earned a Master's degree in Business and Leadership from Augsburg University, where he worked tirelessly to create positive change. His vision, drive, and commitment to his people were an inspiration.

A memorial service will be held on March 22, 2025, at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 3131 Minnehaha Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55406. Visitation will begin at 12 PM, followed by a service and luncheon.

Nick's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A diehard Vikings fan until the end-he once quoted "When I pass, I want the Minnesota Vikings to be my pall bearers so they can let me down one last time!"
