Olivia Botten

Olivia L. Botten age 92, resident of Ebenezer Hall. Mpls. Passed away on May 10, 2003. Born in Akra, North Dakota the 2nd oldest of 12 children. Preceded in death by husband, Emmett; her parents; brothers, John, Sig and Earl Samson; sister, Agnes Strauss. Survived by children, Emmett Patrick (Marilyn) Botten, Bonnie (Chuck) Peterson, Carol (Skip) Mogren and Michael (Pat) Botten; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Lawrence, Norman, Alvin, Marian, Eleanor and Frances; also by other family members and friends. Olivia was a one room school teacher in North Dakota, she moved to Mpls., and married Emmett Botten(a Mpls. fire fighter) in 1936. She worked for KSTP Television. She then joined Winona Market Research retiring in 1973 as office manager. She was an avid golfer and quilter. Service Wednesday 11:00am at MINNEHAHA COMMUNION LUTHERAN CHURCH 4101 37th Ave S., Mpls. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 5-8pm at BRADSHAW (MCDIVITT-HAUGE) 3131 Minnehaha Ave S. and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials prefered to Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church.
