Owen Eugene Romo

Owen Eugene Romo, age 52, passed away on August 20, 2026.

Owen was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Carolyn Weidner. As a child, Owen was known for his kindness, appreciated by all. After graduating high school in New Richmond, Wisconsin, Owen went to College in Fargo, North Dakota. He was a lifelong learner, an avid reader, and a person who enjoyed taking in a good documentary. He later spent many years working for the The Guthrie theater, in their costuming department, where he had many friends and a warm community. Owen had a love for collecting watches and ties, was known for being a dapper dresser, and was an avid Star Wars enthusiast! He loved to travel with his friends, and had a very memorable trip to France, England, and Scotland.

Owen struggled for many years with a vascular condition, which eventually lead to his early passing. His legacy of being friendly, fashionable, and good hearted person lives on.

Owen is survived by his mother, Carolyn Weidner; step-father, Lifford Weidner; Brother, Edward (Ashton) Weidner; Edward's former spouse, Nichole Weidner; his nieces and nephew, Jovie, Macie, London, and Braxton Weidner; his uncle, William Wood; and his favorite cousin, April Bianco.
