Patricia J Anderson

Patricia J Anderson, age 76 of Stillwater, MN, passed peacefully surrounded by family and her beloved dogs.

Pat was born on April 11, 1950, in St. Paul, MN. She grew up in Oak Park Heights and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1968.

She married Tim Anderson Sr. and dedicated the next 25 years raising their family, running the local Country Kitchen and becoming award winning foster parents to over 150 foster children. After Tim passed in 1995, she found love again with Dan Lockwood and they eventually married and started a hobby farm together. Where they rescued, bred and showed miniature horses.

When health made it hard to continue with the horses, she chose to start raising Havanese dogs. Continuing with her love of all animals. She rescued, bred, and raised some of the most sought-after puppies in the Valley.

Always an animal lover she would save baby racoons from the side of the road and bunnies from predators. She was always the advocate for those that could not ask for the help they needed, humans and animals alike.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Gillis and Helen (Schwartz) Hart; her first husband, Timothy S. Anderson Sr.; her son, Timothy S. Anderson Jr.; and Ruth Martin.

She is survived by her husband, Dan; children, Molly Anderson, Daniel and Katie (D'Amboise) Anderson, and Mark and Joanna Kirby; daughter-in-law, Cassie Anderson; grandchildren, Madeline (Anderson) and David Tiller, Zach and Nikki (Kohler), Bradly Mardaus, Amanda Mardaus, Jake Anderson and Abbie Anderson; great grandchildren, Ariella, Waverly, Killian, Rosalyn, Jackson, Riley, Winter and Aiden; sister, Elizabeth and David Moelter; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name are preferred to This Old Horse or Minnesota Havanese Rescue.
