Paul Weir

Aged 82, of Mpls., passed away May 23, 2021. Preceded in death by parents, Harlan J. and Cecilia Weir, and brother, Peter Weir. Survived by wife of 45 years, Susan Hunter Weir; sister Mary Honora (Dan) Heibel; brothers H. Patrick (Diane) Weir, and Michael (Lois) Weir; nieces Amy (Tim Halbur) Heibel, Larina (Jack) DeWalt, Michaela (Mark) Nizinski, and nephews Paul Francis (Lisa) Weir, Pat (Kathy) Weir, Tim (Meg) Weir, Justin (Joy) Weir, Gavin (Vicy Blaschke) Weir, Jed (Dee) Heibel and Ryan Hunter; 18 great-nieces and nephews. Paul was a much-loved husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a community organizer in the Phillips Neighborhood in Minneapolis and a founding member of pnn.org, the 12th and 13th Avenue Block Club Community Garden, and Aprendamos Computacion. He served on numerous neighborhood boards and committees. Interment will be in Dickinson, North Dakota. Memorials preferred to Doctors Without Borders or donor’s favorite charity.
