Pearl Mitchell

Pearl (Goings) Mitchell was born on July 13, 1948, to Joseph and Armalee Goings in Chicago, Illinois. Pearl remained in Chicago during her formative years, where she received her education and later met and united in Holy Matrimony with Leroy Mitchell. From this union, two children were born. During her marriage, Pearl gave her life to Christ as a member of the Apostolic Assembly of the Lord Jesus Christ, Inc., with Bishop Clarence Otis Lee presiding. She cared deeply for the souls of her family and faithfully encouraged them to attend church. Following the passing of her husband, Pearl moved to Minnesota, where she would spend the remainder of her life. Although she was not able to establish a permanent church home, she did not allow this to alter her faith. Wherever God called her, she went as His faithful servant, connecting with and serving those of the faith. Pearl enjoyed life to the fullest, finding joy in watching television, listening to gospel music, shopping, enjoying good food, and spending cherished time with friends and family. God called Pearl home on December 15, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy, and six siblings: Lettia, Josephine, Robert, Armalee, Carolyn, and Geraldine. She leaves to mourn her passing two children, Iris (Gene) and Melissa; two siblings, Joseph of Englewood and Harlene of Chicago; four grandchildren, Deitrick (Emily), Deshawn, Tavieon, and Aviona; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
