It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Penny Maddux, who passed away on July 29th at the age of 83.
Penny was a cherished member of our family whose kindness, love, and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She found her greatest joy in the time spent with family which will continue to be treasured. Her love for family was the foundation of her life, and her legacy will live on in the lives she shaped and the memories she created.
Penelope Ann Neubert was born in Robbinsdale, MN on May 29, 1943. A few minutes after her twin sister, and closest confidant, Tamara. They joined two older sister's, Renee and Yvonne, who she adored and treasured throughout her life. She spent most of her life living in MN and raising her family. She worked many jobs but primarily in HR for the Department of Corrections-Stillwater until she retired in the early 2000's.
She loved golfing, cooking, and spending time with her children, sisters, and friends. Those who knew Penny will remember her warm heart, generous spirit, the genuine care she showed to others, as she was always willing to lend a hand to a neighbor or friend in need.
Penny is lovingly survived by her children Dawn Carlson (Brian), Kim Roberts (Keith), Doug Maddux (Colleen), Steve Maddux (Stacy), her grandchildren Zach, Josh, Julianna, Mike, Chris, Jordan, Jenna, Jillian, Haley, Tanna, and Jesse, her sister Yvonne Thunstrom, brother in law LeRoy Storley, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Lillian & Gilbert Neubert, her twin sister Tamara Senn, Tamara's husband Roger, her sister Renee Storley, and brother in law Richard Thunstrom.
A private family memorial will be held at a time yet to be determined.
Though deeply missed, Penny will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
