Peter A Lind
Peter A Lind, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away September 14, 2026 after a long battle with dementia at home.
Peter was married to his beloved wife, Ellie Lind, for 55 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, hard work, faith, laughter, and countless memories.
Peter was a devoted father to Tony, Todd, and Sara. He was immensely proud of his children and took great joy in watching them grow and build families of their own. He was a loving, with a bit of strictness, grandfather to Barbara, Rachel, and Madison, and his family continued to grow with the arrival of his great-grandchildren, Ana and Nadine.
Peter was a man who believed in working hard and doing things right. After graduating from college as an Electrical Engineer, he began a long and successful career with 3M in 1967. He dedicated 36 years to the company, working in manufacturing and ultimately retiring in 2003 as a Manager. His career reflected his intelligence, determination, practical nature, and commitment to excellence.
Before beginning his professional career, Peter proudly served in the United States Navy. His service was an important part of his life and reflected the sense of duty and responsibility that he carried throughout the years.
Those who knew Peter will remember many things about him, but perhaps none more fondly than his wonderfully sarcastic sense of humor and his legendary stubbornness. Peter had a way of saying exactly what was on his mind, usually with a perfectly timed sarcastic remark. He could stand his ground like few others - and while that stubborn streak may have tested the patience of those who loved him, it was also part of what made Peter uniquely Peter.
Beneath that tough exterior was a man with a deep love for his family. He showed his love not always through words but through the life he built, the work he did, the responsibilities he carried, and the people he was always there for. His family knew they could count on him.
He is preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Mary Ann Lind; siblings, Shirley Berthiaume, Lawrence Lind, Madonna Wink, Joyce Martin, Lois Herold, Ramona Lind, Annette Peterson, Caroline Horwath, Leonard A Lind, Robert Lind, Richard Lind, Leonard O Lind; first wife, Barbara Lind
He is survived by wife, Eloise Lind; sons, Tony (Deanna) and Todd; daughter, Sara (Lance) Buschette; grandchildren, Barbara Lind, Rachel Lind, Madison Buschette; great-grandchildren, Ana Lind and Nadine Lind
His family will carry his memory forward - with love, gratitude, laughter and no doubt, a little sarcasm.
Rest in Peace Peter. You're deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
