Rae was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Nordwall. She is survived by her parents, Thor (Audrey) Nordwall; loving husband and caretaker of 54 years, Alan Kupferschmidt; daughter, Lisa Sturm; son, Scott (Brenda) Kupferschmidt; grandchildren, Mishaun Sturm, Hannah and Emma Kupferschmidt; brothers, Kurt (Julie), Karl (LouAnn), and Kris (Heidi) Nordwall; numerous nieces and nephews.
Rae was a dedicated servant of her congregation, Christ Lutheran Church, and was proud to have been a valued employee of several businesses:

Stillwater School District Nurse
Lufkin Eye Clinic
Minnesota Deaf and Blind Interpreter
Stillwater Senior Center
A Celebration of Rae's Life will be held Tuesday, June 30, 11:00 A.M. at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 11194 36th Street North, Lake Elmo. Visitation one hour prior. The family will also welcome visitors on Monday, June 29, 5-8PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Cty Rd 5), Stillwater.
