Age 88, of Eagan, formerly of St. Paul, passed away peacefully January 4, 2016. Preceded in death by brother, Richard. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 65 years, LaVerne; daughters, Linda (Gene) McDonald, Karen (Sean) Lafferty; grandchildren, Michael (Nora) McDonald, Deanne (Peter Haywood) McDonald, Melissa (David) Morrissey, Allison (Matt) Wagner, and Conner Lafferty; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Esther) Bingea; nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Ray was blessed with many talents and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed painting, music, writing, travel and spending time with family. A celebration of Ray's life will be Wednesday, January 13, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at MOUNT OLIVET LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5025 Knox Avenue South, Minneapolis. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Wounded Warrior Project.
