Age 90, passed away peacefully February 21, 2017. He was a WWII Veteran who served in the Army Air Force. Dick retired from 3M after 43 years of employment, was a 20-year volunteer firefighter with the Lake Elmo Fire Department and in his younger years played hockey with the Lake Elmo Lakers. Dick enjoyed spending time with his family and working in his yard. He was also a skilled craftsman and liked to fish. Preceded in death by wife, Delores "Dee Dee"; siblings, Edna, Margaret, Evelyn, Wilmer, Mildred, Norman, Lucille Grobner, Lorraine Wendt, Dorothy and Harold. Survived by children, Robert (Cathe) and Linda (Robb) Bergen; grandchildren, Craig (Jennifer), Chris and LeeAnne Arndt, Kyle (Lydia) Bergen, Amy (Dustin) Kron; 3 great-grandchildren, Charles Kron, Max & Mila Bergen; brother-in-law, Gordon Witzel, many nieces and nephews. For the past 2 years, Dick was a resident at Stillwater Good Samaritan. Special thanks to their staff for his wonderful care and to the staff from Lakeview Hospice and Home Care. Service Monday, February 27, 2017, 11:00 A.M. with visitation 9:30-11:00 A.M. at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 11194 36th Street North, Lake Elmo. Interment at Cottage Grove Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to donor's choice.
