Richard "Dick" Eder

Age 80 of Lake Elmo

Passed away peacefully yet unexpectedly at home on March 17, 2026. Richard graduated from Stillwater High School where he was an avid wrestler and member of the track team. He was an Air Force veteran and member of the Bayport Legion. Richard retired in 2012 from the Stillwater Court House where he was a bailiff.

Preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Myrtle; brothers, Maynard and Delmar.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Janet; daughters, Pam (Steve) Shanley and Pennie Soppeland (Jeremy); grandchildren, Tyler (Sam), Megan, Emily, Macy, Gillian, and Khiana; siblings, Joel, Emilie, and Melvin; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Celebration of Life 6pm Wednesday, March 25th at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, with visitation beginning at 4pm. A light dinner will follow the service. Memorials preferred to the Red Cross Blood Drive or the Bayport American Legion.
