Richard "Dick" Kiesow passed away on June 29, 2026, two months shy of his 90th birthday. Born in Stillwater in 1936, he grew up working on the family farm and later served in the Army National Guard. Dick spent 34 years with Andersen Corporation and was active in several Stillwater community organizations, including American Legion Post 48 and Elks Lodge 179.
He enjoyed time with friends at local establishments, especially Dick's Bar, and was known to savor a burger and a beer at Meister's Bar and Grill. The Stillwater Proper in Stillwater even honored him with a signature drink named the "My Uncle Dick." He also loved visiting casinos, making several memorable trips to Las Vegas and Turtle Lake, WI.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Arlys and Carl Kiesow, and his sister, Sally Campeau (Leroy). He is survived by his brother-in-law, Leroy Campeau, and by his nieces and nephew: Renae Pominville (Mark), Karla Halverson (Harvey), Julie Ahrens (Terry), and Mark Ehlenz (Denise).
A private memorial service and burial will be held on July 6, 2026, with interment at St. Matthew's Cemetery in Withrow, Minnesota. If you wish to remember Dick in a special way, please consider making a donation to a charitable organization of your choice.
