Robbie D. Bartels, age 71, of Saint Paul, MN, died peacefully on April 15th, 2026 at Regions Hospital. He was born on July 11th, 1954, to Loren and June Bartels, in Duluth, MN. He married Deborah Smith Fornes on August 7th, 1993, and adopted her child, Bryce.

Rob was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. His sense of humor and notable kindness to others will be missed by many.

He worked as a building engineer and retired from the Centennial Public School District.

Robbie is survived by his daughter, Bryce Fornes-Bates (Paul); grandchildren, Annabelle and Harrison; four siblings, beloved nieces, and nephews, and so many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah, and parents, Loren and June.

Join us for a memorial service, Monday, April, 27th, 2026, 11:00 AM at Bradshaw, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear, MN. A visitation will take place, Sunday, April, 26th, 2026, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Bradshaw, White Bear.
