Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Platt, Sr. and Ruth Earl Platt; brother, Lawrence Platt, Jr. He is survived by his son, Christopher Otto; granddaughter, Taleaha Fogg; sister-in-law, Laura Dean Platt; nieces, Robin Roderick, MA�rta Silber, Nancy Jones and Katherine Platt; nephews, Timothy Platt, William Jones and Stephen Platt; as well as great nieces and nephews, cousins and many foster children.

Bob served as a foster parent and mentor for most of his adult life.

He attended St. Paul Academy, Carleton College and the University of Minnesota.

Bob was one of the founders of Knox Lumber Co.

and he ran the Robert Platt Advertising Agency.

He was an active parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Paul.

Funeral Mass Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 10:30 am at the CATHEDRAL OF ST. PAUL, 239 Selby Ave., St. Paul with visitation one hour prior to services followed by interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
