The service will be livestreamed from this link: Bob's Livestream
Bob was born September 6, 1959 in Chicago, IL to Mary (Stephenson) and Lennox Wilson. Bob's family moved several times to different college towns and Bob loved exploring on his bike, often heading to the tennis courts to pick up games. He graduated from Ames High School and went on to Iowa State University, and later, earned his MBA at the University of Minnesota. He spent his entire 36 year career at 3M, in various roles, always with the same determination and drive that he brought to everything he did.
Bob met his wife Claudia at Iowa State and they married in 1984. After a few moves with 3M to California and Iowa, they settled with their young family in Woodbury, MN in 1994. Bob loved his kids and was always there to shoot some hoops, play catch, or hit the tennis ball. He was such a lover of sports and the outdoors.
Bob found happiness in the simple things - a long walk, a bike ride, working in the yard, and spending time with family and friends. His humor was a gift. He brought joy to those around him with his quick wit and warm smile - we will miss that smile!
Bob and Claudia spent many summers at their cottage in Southampton, Ontario, playing tennis, biking, swimming, and watching sunsets at the beach. Lifelong friendships were celebrated around bonfires and dinner tables.
Bob is lovingly reunited with his parents, Mary (Stephenson) and Lennox Wilson, alongside Claudia's father Richard (Dick) Gates.
Gone too soon, Bob will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 41 years, Claudia Wilson, his son Sean Wilson (partner Victoria Weber), daughter Amy Wilson (partner Will Reierson), sister Catherine Wilson (Koroush Charkhabi), and brother Paul (Jennifer) Wilson. He is also missed by Claudia's mother, Jean Gates, sisters Brenda (Al) Biere and Nancy Morgan (Lee Dunham), along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Bob's family finds great comfort in knowing that Bob is at peace with Jesus in Paradise.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Little Hospice (https://www.littlehospice.org/donate), in gratitude for Bob's outstanding care.
