Roberta lived a full life for the close to 91 years that the good Lord generously gave to her. She was born in 1935 in North Minneapolis, lived and grew up with many aunts and uncles who were as siblings to her and who produced the many relatives dear to her heart. She was in the care of her grandma and grandpa while living there.
Roberta was married young to Harold and soon moved to South Minneapolis to raise a family of three children, Michael, Kathrine (Alejandro), and Thomas (Debra). Besides being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to William, Bradly, and Ava, great grandmother to Sarah, Hailey, Lexie, Ainsley, and Paige, great-great grandmother to Carson, she was also caregiver to her mother-in-law Regina. She loved her niece and nephews Eric, Jon, and Suava.
Roberta was an avid athlete with softball as her forte. She managed to work outside the house in various retail distribution centers, while raising her family. She was also employed by Minnehaha Academy as part of their kitchen staff during this time. Her last job was with the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, MGM Studios as a film splicer. After retiring from the movie business, she kept busy with immediate family, extended family, and grandchildren. She was also devoted to her church family and friends. Roberta will be dearly missed by her numerous family members, friends, and others whose lives she touched in Minneapolis, Arizona, California, Virginia, and New York.
We will all miss her
