Rodney Lawrence Lough, 86, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at home following a brief, but fierce, final battle with medical complications, supported by his loving wife, Lucinda and caregivers Deb, Colleen, and Chrissy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and daughter. He is survived by wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.

Rodney proudly served in the US Navy and US Coast Guard. His loving, protective, tenacious, risk taker, warrior spirit is an example of the best in us that can outshine the rest in us.

His water cremation was on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Bradshaw Green Cremation, Stillwater, MN. That portion of his mortal body which is not already in the Mississippi watershed, traveling to the Gulf of Mexico, will also be returned to the ocean as he wished.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to VFW Post 1782 for their kindness in standing witness to his cremation or to Green Bay Sail & Power Squadron for the sailing, he was happiest and most at home on the water.
