Roger D. Ellis
Age 85, of Lindstrom, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2021 surrounded by family. Roger was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley (nee Groskreutz); daughter, Nancy Pratt; and his second wife, Nancy. He is survived by loving daughter, Cindy (Mike); granddaughter, Lisa (Ryan); grandson, Chuck; great-grandson, Elvis; other family and friends.
Roger was born in Redfield, SD to Herbert and Irma Ellis. He was a hard working machinist all his life. In his younger days, Roger was an avid fisherman. As a lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed watching eagles on the nearby lakes and as an active gardener, he was known for his legendary roses. Roger did not let any grass grow under his feet. He always had to be doing something. He loved to cook and even loved cleaning! In fact, it was not uncommon to find him clearing the tables and bussing dishes from his wheelchair at Walker Methodist where he resided most recently. He will be missed.
Services for Roger Ellis will be Wednesday, December 8, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at BRADSHAW, 3131 Minnehaha Avenue South with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A committal service with full military honors will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
