Age 89 of St. Paul
Passed away peacefully on June 18, 2012. Preceded in death by his wife, Irene; grandson, Matthew Young; brothers, Waldo and Lester. Survived by sons, Thomas (Merri) and James (Norma); grandchildren, Kristoffer, Jonathan, Lee, Lisa and Jessica; great-grandson, Parker; sister, Jeanette Firth; other relatives and many friends. Russell was a WWII veteran, long time employee and retiree of Control Data Corp., and a lifetime member of Como Park Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to his church or Struther's Parkinson's Center. Memorial service 11:00 AM Friday, June 22 at COMO PARK LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1376 Hoyt Avenue West, St. Paul with a gathering one hour prior to the service.
