Sally’s life was rooted in faith, love, and the quiet, meaningful joys that filled her days. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother—affectionately known as “Gigi”—whose greatest happiness was found in time spent with her family. She cherished life’s simple pleasures: tending to her garden, watching birds with peaceful contentment, and enjoying a spirited game of cribbage or cards, where her competitive side would shine. She delighted in having her hair and nails done, moments she always looked forward to, and she never missed an opportunity to send a thoughtful card to celebrate others. To know Sally was to feel truly welcomed and deeply loved; her warm smile and contagious laugh left a lasting impression on all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Sally was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Brandt; her daughter, Patti Bakken; and her son-in-law, Richard Chase. Though she experienced profound loss, her unwavering faith carried her through life with grace, strength, and quiet resilience.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Judy (Tom) Messina, Steve (Robin) Brandt, and Karen (Kip Russell) Chase; her son-in-law, Ross Bakken; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She took immense pride in her family and treasured every moment spent together, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith that will continue to live on through each of them.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Harmony Gardens, St. Croix Hospice, and Dr. Theresa Wollan for the exceptional care, comfort, and support they provided.
