Sandra "Sandy" Kaye Peterson

Age 78, of Hudson, Wisconsin, formerly of Somerset, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026.

Sandy was born and raised in Bayport, Minnesota, where she built the foundation of the caring, hardworking woman so many came to know and love. She spent 20 years working at Andersen Windows, where she took pride in her work and formed lasting friendships.

Above all, Sandy’s greatest joy was her family. She was a natural caregiver with a heart big enough for everyone. Her home was always a welcoming place where her children and grandchildren gathered, creating countless memories filled with laughter, love, and homemade treats. She loved baking for those she cared about, spending warm summer days lounging by the pool, and trying her luck at the casino. She also found joy in the simple things—feeding the birds, watching the deer visit her yard, and appreciating the peaceful beauty around her home. Whether she was watching the grandkids, sharing stories around the kitchen table, or simply enjoying time together, Sandy made everyone feel loved and at home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland; daughter, Lori; and parents, Robert “Jingles” and Vera Bell.

She is survived by her children, Brenda (Jim) Behan, Rick (Amy), and Mike (Lynsey); grandchildren, Jerry, Nicole, Hailey, Cassie, Megan, Jack, Carson, and Lily; great-grandson, Beckett; brother, Kevin (Patty) Bell; sister, Gayle (Garfield) Matson; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

A private family service will be held.

Sandy will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love for her family, and the countless lives she touched through her generosity, warmth, and care. Her memory will live on in the traditions she created, the recipes she shared, and the love she gave so freely.
