Sandy Gibson Anderson, 47, of Lakeland, MN passed away on December 17th, after a long and courageous battle with Breast Cancer. Sandy was surrounded by family as her body surrendered to the cancer. Sandy will be deeply missed by all of her family members, specifically her husband Evan, son Zachary and daughter Paige.
Sandy was born on January 29, 1968 to James and Catherine (Cress) Gibson. Sandy was the youngest girl and the 7th of 8 children. Sandy attended Bayport Elementary and Stillwater Senior High where she formed a bond with a group of friends that flourished thoughout her life.
Sandy graduated from UW Stout with a degree in Vocational Rehabilitation. While attending UW Stout, Sandy met the love of her life, Evan Anderson. Sandy and Evan married on September 12, 1992 and settled in Lakeland, MN.
Family was very important to Sandy and she was blessed with two wonderful children. Zachary and Paige were the center of her life and she loved them with her entire heart and soul.
Sandy's professional life was diverse, eventually finding her calling in the legal field. She truly enjoyed her work at 3M for the past 10 years working with an amazing group of coworkers.
60+ immediate family members survive Sandy. Her mother and father, James and Catherine, preceded her in death.
A celebration of Sandy's life will be held 10:30AM Wednesday, December 23rd at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Co Rd 5), Stillwater. Visitation Tuesday 5-8PM. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, Bayport. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
