Shannon Josephine Rutkowski (Nelson)

Shannon Josephine Rutkowski passed away peacefully on May 19th, 2025. Shannon was born to Mark and Roxann Nelson on September 27th, 1972. She grew up in south Minneapolis and she attended St. Alberts school and graduated from South high in 1989. She then went on to earn an Associates degree in the medical field. She married and had a child, Savannah, that she absolutely adored. In 2022 she met the love of her life, Chuck Rutkowski, they were married on September 22nd, 2023 and had 17 wonderful months together. They purchased a house in Burnsville, MN in August of 2022 and lived there together until her passing.

Shannon was a warm kind hearted loving person, She would go crazy for anything pink or anything that was Barbie related. Shannon had a gift to be able to talk to anyone and make them feel comfortable. She will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Willie and Lorraine Noviky, Art and Betty Nelson, her aunt Bonnie Hahn and Uncle Dave Nelson.

Survived by her loving husband Chuck, her daughter Savannah (Fawks), her parents Mark and Roxann Nelson, her brother and best friend Ben Nelson(Tammy), and cousins Heather Wickstrom(David), Patrick Hahn(Trista), and mother-in-law Marge Rutkowski along with the rest of the Rutkowski family and many other friends.
