Sharon Steele

Sharon (Thornton) Steele passed away peacefully on November 13, 2020, surrounded by her family. Born in Chicago to King Hannon and Dorothy Anderson, she was 68 years old at the time of her passing. She is survived by her children, Latesha (Kenneth), Kelley (Lester), Antionette, Anthony; grandchildren, Alfredrick (Ronika), Dionte (Makkita), Tierra (Denzel), Takisha, Mitchell, Devin, Kalis, Samantha (Leroy), Antwon (Troionia), Javarus (Cherelle), Sa’Myi, Deshawn, Layla; great-grandchildren, Alfredric III, Maliya, Dionte Jr, Megan, Morgan, Toriayn, Rilei, Breonna, Hailey, Havana, Hayden, Nazaiah, Asante; siblings, Maribeth Jackson, Gregory (Gloria) Thornton; nieces, Judith, Nicole; nephew, Tyrone; and many friends.

Sharon was kind, big-hearted, outspoken and honest. She never met a stranger, and shared her hospitality as mom to the whole neighborhood. She will be deeply missed by the many people who loved her.
