Sheila Ann Palermo, age 66, of Lino Lakes, passed away peacefully on November 30 2025, from complications of Lewy body dementia, surrounded by her loving family. Born in St. Cloud to Carl and Phyllis Hosler, Sheila grew up in a family where faith, humor, and togetherness were deeply valued.
Sheila attended the University of Minnesota before building a long and dedicated career as a bookkeeper in the grocery and food and beverage industry, where her dependability, warmth, and attention to detail were appreciated by all who worked with her.
She married the love of her life, Michael Palermo, and together they built 39 years of partnership rooted in devotion, laughter, love, and shared adventures. She was a proud and loving mother to Leah (Rob) and Giuseppe (Heather), and the adored "Gigi" to her grandsons Salvatore, Levi, Simon, and Lorenzo "Enzo," who brought immense joy and light to her life.
One of Sheila's greatest joys in life was watching her children grow through their sports and activities. She never missed a game, performance, or milestone, cheering them on from the sidelines with pride, enthusiasm, and unwavering support - a true constant in their lives.
Sheila lived a life full of simple joys and meaningful moments: traveling, cooking cherished family recipes, attending theater performances. She found her greatest peace by the water - boating on the lake, relaxing by the pool, and spending time near any sunny beach or shoreline. Above all, she treasured time with her children and grandchildren, who were truly the center of her world.
Sheila is survived by her devoted husband Michael; her children and grandchildren; her siblings Gail (Hassan), Craig (Sue), Cheryl (Barry), Karla (Mark), Terri (Rich), and Tim (Julina); and her in-laws Teri (Bill) and Tom (Janet); Scott and Deb Grieve and Jim and Lana Gesler. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Phyllis Hosler, and her in-laws Josephine and Sam Palermo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9, at 11:00 am at St. Odilia Catholic Church in Shoreview, Minnesota. One hour visitation prior to the ceremony will be held. A reception will follow. Additional details will be shared with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association MN Chapter or the Lewy Body Dementia Association in Sheila's honor. For more information on Lewy Body dementia, please visit www.lbda.org.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Brighton Hospice for their exceptional compassion, care, and support during Sheila's final months.
