Sheila Delesse Thompson

d. March 2, 2026

Sheila Thompson, 37, passed away on March 2, 2026, in Wyoming, MN.

Sheila had a special talent for writing, and she would literally read almost anything. She was fond of computers and video games, but her true passion was animals. She even had aspirations of opening an animal shelter. She could not stand to see an animal in distress without putting forth a profound effort to assist it! She actually just loved life and all living creatures. It was nothing unusual to see or hear her sharing information about healthy living with anyone that would listen. And she spared no expense with all natural remedies. Sheila would volunteer at food drives and walkathons. You could not find a brighter light than Sheila's smile when she received the T-shirts and coffee cups from participating in those important events.

Sheila is survived by her son, Zyrion Darious Thompson; mother, Stephanie Cooks of Hammond, IN; father, Derrick Thompson of St. Paul, Minnesota; step-father, Warren Cooks of Hammond, IN; Godfather, Arnold Oliver of Chicago, IL; uncle, Anthony Phillips; aunt, Danielle Phillips; aunt, Estelle Phillips; chosen sister and lifelong friend, Vicky Shea; East Gate church family; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Sheila is preceded in death by her grandmother, Clora T Phillips; brother, Antwon Maurice Thompson; and sister, Porsha Thompson.

Sheila's memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, March 20th at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Rd, Mahtomedi.
