Shirley Ann (Silbernick) Weiss

Shirley Ann (Silbernick) Weiss, age 87 of North Oaks, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.  She will be deeply missed by her family who survives her: daughter, Sheila (Brian) Burke; sister, Carol Chandler; many special nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Del Weiss; parents, Sylvester and Rose; sister, Jan Schiffler.

Shirley was a devoted wife and mother as well as a dedicated volunteer, giving of her time to St. Patrick’s  School and Parish. She was a woman of deep faith.

She was the biggest fan of her son-in-law Brian’s cooking, so their relationship was one of mutual admiration – he loved to cook, and she loved to eat!

A special thank you to the compassionate care she received from the staff at Shoreview Senior Living.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 11, 2023 at 10am at Church of the Assumption, 51 Seventh Street W, St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior.  A luncheon will follow.  Mass will be livestreamed and recorded, and may be viewed at www.assumptionsp.org

Interment at Seven Dolors Cemetery, Albany, MN on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,   Animal Humane Society, or Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Upper Midwest.
