MSGT Sterling Earl Hintz

Age 78, of Stillwater, passed away peacefully July 24, 2026. Preceded in death by his wife, Judith. He will be sadly missed by his children, Jennifer (Scott) Wille, Christine (Todd) Jorgensen and Matthew (Danielle) Hintz; grandchildren, Joshua and Emma Wille, Benjamin Jorgensen and Victoria Hintz.

He will also be missed by his loving partner of eighteen years, Sandy Serier, and her children Lisa (Chris) Holliday, Carrie (Steve) Rogness and Kristi (Jamie) Wyman, grandchildren: K.J., Tamirah, Kaden, Carter, Charli, Madison, and Mia. A celebration of Sterling's life will be held August 22nd, 11:00 A.M. at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater with visitation one hour prior to the service. In honor of Sterling, please wear bright clothing. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Minnesota Veteran's Home and Ecumen Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Wounded Warrior Project.
