Steven Michaelis

Steven "TOP" Michaelis, age 78 of Gold Canyon, Arizona, formally New Richmond, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Bette; sister, Karen; and niece Shanae.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia. Brothers Jeff (Pauline), Dan (Michelle), brother-in-law Val Finneman. Sister-in-law Connie Vitzthum (Frank), nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and good friend Jim Stein.
One of Steve's passions was to play his saxophone. For 30+ years he was a musician in the US Navy and the Minnesota 34th infantry Red Bull National Guard band. As first sergeant, nicknamed "Top", he enjoyed being involved in the many concerts and jazz band performances.
A funeral service is 11:00 AM Monday, February 2nd at the Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, MN with visitation being one hour prior. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
