Sue Ellen (Nutter) Valstad, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born on April 9, 1949 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

She worked several years in retail but her main focus was on raising her two sons. Sue was very passionate about all animals and was always a cat owner. She was an avid reader and loved music.

She was preceded in death by her father, Warren Nutter; mother, Sally Nutter; sister, Judy (Milbauer) Morke.

Sue is survived by her sisters, Phyllis Schilling, Cheryl Jones; brother, David (Lori) Nutter; sons, Robert Jr. (Lori), and Jeffery Valstad; many nieces and nephews; and her furry companion, Precious.

The family would like to thank the staff at Providence Place and Life Spark Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Sue in her final days.

Sue/Mom will be deeply missed but will remain in our hearts forever.
