Forrest, T. Ann
Age 84, of Somerset, formerly of Siren. Passed away peacefully on January 24, 2017. Ann was born on January 27, 1932 in Franklin, North Carolina, one of two daughters to Everett and Burdell (Cloer) Leatherman. She spent a great deal of her youth with her grandparents, the Rev. George and Flora Cloer, who she adored. At the age of 16 she moved to Richmond, VA where she met the love of her life, Tom. They were happily married for 65 years and together raised 7 children, the youngest of whom was adopted at 6 months old. Together they enjoyed traveling and spending time in their home in Siren, they were each other's best friend. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was a great supporter of her family and loved attending all of their activities. She enjoyed watching football, especially her Green Bay Packers. She was an avid reader and lifelong learner, a loving and giving woman who was happiest when she was helping others especially through their grief following the loss of a loved one. Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom; son Larry; parents, Everett and Burdell; sister, Ebbie and-son-in law, Wayne. Survived by children, Michael, Diane Baillargeon, Deb (Rich) Kohler, Jerry (Brenda), Steve (Laurie), Rick (Denise); 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; very special niece, Jean, and many special friends and relatives. Forever in our hearts. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials preferred to a charity of choice.
