Taylor Carter

Taylor was a beloved new father, husband, son, sibling, friend, and Minnesota State Trooper.  Taylor touched the lives of everyone he met with kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit.  Taylor brought joy, laughter, and love into the lives of those around him and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him but most especially by his wife Kelcie and 4-month- old baby boy, Leo Michael.

From his fearlessness and love of driving fast, Taylor always brought energy and excitement with him in some form. It was rare to see Taylor express anything but happiness, and you experienced the selflessness of Taylor and his willingness to go out of his way to help anyone in need, his bold laugh, and the ability to look past any worry and enjoy the moment you were in.

Taylor is survived by his wife Kelcie, son Leo, mom & dad (pops) Pat and Mike Carter, Stephanie Kostrewski (Brad), brothers Bryan (Kelly), Phillip (Christie), sister Kelsey, nieces & nephew Brinkley, Teddy, Reese, father & mother-in-law Gerald & Michelle Salazar. Special friends Matt & Claire Nolan, Keenan & Brittany Jones.

If you had the opportunity to know Taylor, you had a story to tell.  Kelcie kindly requests anyone with a story to share write these down and bring them to the service.  Kelcie will compile these stories as a tribute to Taylor which will be a legacy for Leo.  Additionally, Taylor was an avid collector of police patches and challenge coins.  Any Law Enforcement attending is welcomed to bring a patch or coin which will also be collected for Leo to have as he grows up.
