On April 13, 2016, age 72. Preceded in death by sister, Toni (Don) Groschen. Survived by wife of 45 years, Charyl; daughters, Penatete and Kris; siblings, Brian (Ann), Rosemary (Bob) Knutson, and Jerry (Sandy).
Tom's life was all about people. He made meaningful connections with people everywhere he went. Tom could quickly develop a rapport with people of all ages and walks of life; he valued relationships with family and close friends, and continued to befriend people throughout his life.
Tom loved his years of making music with both the Valley Chamber Chorale and the Twin Cities Catholic Chorale. He logged many miles riding his bicycle, driving for work and pleasure, and sailing.
Charyl and Tom spent a total of four years volunteering with the Peace Corps, first in the Fiji Islands, and later in South Africa. In the last ten years he has spent much time, energy, and passion around Bantfwana Phambili, the non-profit he founded to support education for children in South Africa.
Tom's life was big and vibranta�"he had an insatiable appetite for life (and food)a�"we will miss the love and joy he shared with us.
Service Thursday, 11:00 A.M. at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 115 N. 4th Street, Stillwater. Visitation Wednesday, 4-7 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Cty Rd 5), Stillwater, as well as one hour prior to the service at the church.
