Tricia Louise Hong

Tricia Louise Hong, age 51, of Vadnais Heights, MN, passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Tricia was born on July 24, 1974, in Osceola, WI to Paul and Phyllis Grover. She grew up in Scandia, MN and graduated from Forest Lake Area High School.

In 1998, Tricia married her soulmate and the love of her life, Johnny Hong. Together, they built a home filled with fun and laughter. Their marriage of 27 years is an example of unwavering loyalty and never-ending love for one another.

Tricia found happiness in gardening, crafting, cooking, hanging out with her dogs, Axel and Rafa, and watching sports. She especially enjoyed watching tennis, cheering on her beloved Vikings, and catching NASCAR races every weekend.

More than anything, Tricia's pride and joy were her children. She devoted her life to being a homemaker, raising Evan and Olivia to be responsible, kind, and strong people. Tricia was the backbone of her family and the best Mama they could ever have. In 2025, Tricia became a grandmother to her first grandson, Miles. She loved Miles with her whole heart and was most proud to be his GiGi.

Tricia will be remembered for her compassion, strength, sense of humor, and devotion to her family. She is loved by many and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Tricia is survived by her husband, Johnny Hong; her children, Evan (Sophie) Hong and Olivia Hong (fiancé Phoenix Salverda); her grandson, Miles Hong; her sisters, Tami Koppinger and Teri Polzin, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Phyllis (Carlson) Grover; her brother, Tom Grover; and niece, Paige Koppinger.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, June 12th from 1-4 PM at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 4600 Greenhaven Dr, White Bear Lake, MN.
