Tsegai Ghebremichael

Tsegai Ghebremichael was born on March 5th, 1963, in Asmara, Eritrea to parents Ghebremichael Tesfu Abede and Sembatu Tesfagaber Kaleb. Tsegai suffered from health issues his whole life. He developed heart problems after being ill with rheumatic fever as a young child. In the early 1980s he came to America through CHF “Children’s Heart Fund” for heart surgery at just 17yrs old. He would go onto have more surgeries for his heart that caused many difficulties, making it hard for him to have a normal life. Tsegai made friends and had a close bond with his classmates and coworkers who were more like family to him, they helped him through his surgeries, cared for him and supported him through his difficult times. Despite all the of challenges in his life and complications from his health, coming to a new country alone, leaving his family behind during The Eritrean Independence War against Ethiopia, and having lost family, friends and neighbors throughout the years. All while never being able to go back home to Eritrea due to his health. Tsegai still managed to get his high school diploma from Edison High School in Minneapolis, MN, and obtained his diploma in Nursing from MCTC in the 1990s. He would go on to work as an LPN nurse for 24yrs at Mount Olivet Care View in Minneapolis, MN. Until his early retirement last summer June of 2024 due to his health. He enjoyed caring for others, helping those in need and despite his stubbornness he had a heart of gold. Tsegai passed away with family by his bedside on June 10th, 2025. And is survived by his sister Miniya and brothers Tadesse and Debesay Tesfu. Tesgai was a true fighter and will be remembered for his strength and resilience. He will be truly missed and forever loved. May we all find peace in knowing he is no longer suffering and finally has eternal rest with the God.

ጸጋይ ገ/ሚካኤል ካብ ኣቡኡ ገ/ሚካኤል ተስፉ ካብ ኣዲኡ ሰንበቱ ተስፋጋብር ብ 1963 ኣብ ከባቢ ኣስመራ ሰሜናዊ ባሕሪ ሸገርኒ ተወሊዱ : ኣብ ኣስመራ ክሳብ ማእከላይ ደረጃ ትምህርት ተማሂሩ ።ብ ዝነበሮ ናይ ልቢ ሕማም ቡዙሕ ይሳቀ ብምንባሩ ግቡእ ሕክምና ንክረክብ ብዝረኽቦ ዕድል ብ 1981 ንኣሜሪካ ኣትዩ። ግቡእ ሕክምና ረኺቡ ጽቡቅ ለውጢ ዉን ገይሩ። ብድሕሪኡ ውን ትምህርቱ ብምቕጻል ኣብ ኣሜሪካ ብ ነርሲ ወዲኡ። ን ነዊሕ ግዜ ድማ ከም ነርስ ኮይኑ ይሰርሕ ነይሩ። ብዕለት 6-3-2025 ክኣ ብኸቢድ ሓሚሙ ኣብ ሆስፒታል ኣቤት ክእለ ድሕሪ ምጽንሑ ኣብ 63 እድሜኡ ብዕለት 6-10-2025 ኣብ ሕክምና ዓሪፋ::ብጽንዓቱን ተጻዋርነቱን ዝልለ ጸጋይ ምቅሉልን ሕያዋይን ምንባሩ ይግለጽ።ነብሱ ኣብ ኣጸደገነት የንብራ።ንመላእ ስድራቤት ፈተውትን መቕርብን ድማ ጽንዓት ይሃብኩም።
