Vicki Lee Anderson

Our beloved matriarch, Vicki Lee Anderson, passed away on August 24, 2026. She was born on April 23, 1951 in Sac City, Iowa, to Verlon and Wilma Anderson. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Vicki left a profound impact on everyone blessed to know her and bask in her infectious optimism and unwavering loyalty and generosity. Her Christian faith was a central and meaningful part of life. She loved playing cards and was always ready for a game of Kings on the Corner or Pinochle. She treasured spending time with her family at the cabin; taking boat rides around the lake, sitting out on the dock fishing with her grandsons, and watching the sun set. And her heart was happiest planning and hosting Forced Family Fun events, because she knew the importance of being with family, making memories, and being a little silly sometimes. Vicki is survived by her husband of 41 years, Frank; her daughters, Kelsey and Nina (Alex); her two grandsons, Sully (6) and Felix (3); her sister, Julie; and her brother, Dave (Gin). Vicki is preceded in death by her parents, Verlon and Wilma; and her brother-in-law, Rick.

Vicki always had a way with words. For nearly 40 years, Ms. A taught elementary school children how to read and write. Her final years in the district were spent teaching others how to do the same. Outside the school, Vicki's poetry graced many friends and family. Her words offered a light in complete darkness to those around her. And though Vicki is no longer with us, her words will continue to show her love for us all as long as we let them.

Gifts by Vicki Anderson

Gifts are often opened with excitement, admired by the recipient and placed in the appropriate spot.

With the passing of time, gifts too often become forgotten pieces of a life well lived.

But the best gifts are unwrapped ones that are cherished and etched into our souls.

And you, dear friends, have given me that.

Precious moments remembered -

  • Game nights with cribbage, Fill or Bust, Hand and Foot.

  • Dinners filled with delicious food and cherished conversation.

  • Outings to a baseball game, a play, or even an orchestra

A life filled with laughter, love and smiles and tons of fun!

Thank you for giving me that.

Thank you for the best gift ever - your presence!
